Powder in April?!

Wow—what a day! Most lower-mountain lifts started spinning promptly at 9 this morning, with Roundhouse opening 10 minutes late. I made quite a few runs on Roundhouse this morning before Summit and Scott opened. My favorite run off Roundhouse was Tiegel Chutes—knee deep powder for most of the morning, and still great in the afternoon….

Parking Full, Great Skiing

Valleygirl reported that Far East opened at 8:30 this morning with no lines and that there was still parking in the second row.  However, by 9:41, Squaw’s parking was full, as Friends of Squaw Valley posted on Facebook this morning. Valleygirl also noted that there were no significant lines at Squaw today, and traffic wasn’t bad tonight….
