Morning Corn

Hello Skiers and Boarders,

There were some high clouds overhead this morning.  Overnight temperatures dropped below freezing as they have been the last few nights.  I never made it over to Squaw this week, but friends tell me the skiing was very good.  This morning the skiing was excellent.  We skied from about 8:45 to 11.  A first the groomed runs were a little firm, but they softened into a creamy surface quickly.  Of piste I enjoyed the spring conditions available at Tower 19, Sunspot, Terry’s Return, and Wolverine under Idiot’s.  The Face also excellent as it had not been skied all week.  Moguls are large except on the skiers right under the chair.  There was some very nice corn snow on the mountain today.  I assume it will continue into the weekend, especially if the temperatures remain below freezing overnight.

We skied with Mark Fisher this morning.  It was good to see him back on the hill after is accident.  He was skiing carefully so as not to re-injure his shoulder which was dislocated a few weeks ago as he exited Summit Chair.

Below is a link to a newer home listing in Alpine Meadows.  This is a 2100+ sq.ft. 4 bedroom 3 bath home overlooking Bear Creek which is raging as it often does with the spring runoff.  Asking price is a very reasonable $699,000.
