Hello Skiers and Boarders,
Boy do I love spring skiing. Today was a near perfect day for spring skiing. It was not hot, but there was plenty of blue overhead. It was mixed with gray clouds. We had a couple of really nice runs on South Face. Smooth corn snow. A few on Lakeview including one I liked on Scott’s Beam. Sympathy and Rolls and Knolls were in fine spring condition. Palisades offered some nice soft turns as did D7 and The Face. Earlier the groomed areas were silky smooth. Soft moguls that are fun for slow turning made today really special.
We discovered another new honorary sign placed above Tiegel Chute on Gunner’s Knob. This sign is in honor of Chip Lambert who has been skiing a teaching at Alpine Meadows for more years than I can count. We met Chip at the top of Lakeview this afternoon and then decided to ski his run and take a photo of the new sign. It is attached. Chip’s Challenge
Just in case you have a home that you want to ski lease next season, or even for an entire year, let me know. I have a couple of families looking for rentals. One family, or families, would like a nice updated or newer home with 4 bedrooms. They’re in the $5,000 per month price range for next winter season. The other family is seeking a 3 or 4 bedroom home for a year at $3,000 per month.
It was a nice day for ending the regular season at Alpine Meadows.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
