Hello Skiers and Boarders,
Happy Easter to all of you. Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful day in Tahoe. Today clouds covered the area and rain showers fell in a sporadic manner. We did venture out this morning and found some very nice corn snow on the groomed runs. The cooler air and winds at the ridge top seem to keep the surface more firm this morning then yesterday. After sliding down Summit Chair a few times we toured over to Sherwood. The snow at Sherwood was really smooth and had the corn consistency that we like. The same was true of Lakeview, but then it began to rain. That was enough for us today.
Attached is a photo taken from the top of Sherwood looking toward the lake. Tomorrow is the last regular day of the season Alpine before the area. From now on it will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and until some time in May. Midweek days will have to be spent at Squaw for those that want to continue to ski.
I may head that way a few times, but I am ready to sit on my bike, or try and find a place to hike.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
