Hello Skiers and Boarders,
Attached are a couple of photos I took this morning from the top of Roundhouse. Flat light, low clouds, and a firm groomed surface. It actually snowed a couple of inches overnight allowing for some soft turns on low angle slopes, but there was rubble from the previous day underneath the softness. It took concentration to keep from catching a tip of the rubble. The low clouds lifted a bit later in the morning, but not it is snow at a steady pace.
The wet snow that was dumping along the Truckee River has stopped and the sky appears to be getting brighter. If anything the sky will be dropping clear precipitation. Shadows are showing at the moment which seems to indicate a clearing sky. Roads are wet, but clear for those of you how may be heading up for the weekend.
A photo of the bike trail along the river is attached. It was nice to be out walking on it this afternoon.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
