Thin New Surface

Hello Skiers and Boarders,

Very little sun today on the slopes.  Flat light this morning from a gray sky.  A few flakes of snow fell overnight adding up to a few inches in sections of the mountain and none in other places.  Drifting snow overnight from winds associated with the lightweight storm piled up here and there on them mountain.  Underneath this thin layer of powder was a firm surface.  Where the land had been groomed overnight we found fresh soft snow over the firm surface.  Wolverine Bowl seem to be the best as more snow had drifted into this area.  Kangaroo was also very nice as few people were riding the lift, thus few tracks disturbed the slope until we got to them.  We stayed on piste today.  Off piste did not appear to be worth the effort as the firm under layer and flat light made it uninviting.

It is snowing lightly this afternoon.  Perhaps tomorrow will bring a softer and deeper surface.

Enjoy your day,

Andy
