Hello Skiers and Boarders,
We are so glad that we live in Tahoe. On a gorgeous day like today we stood atop Alpine Bowl and just took a minute to soak in the views of Lake Tahoe and the mountains that surround it. It was a lovely spring day on the slopes this afternoon. South facing slopes were soft and skied as if the were covered in butter. North facing slopes were smooth and chalky. Of course there were some slopes that were very soft, mostly where they had not been well skier packed or were dotted with overgrown moguls. In general I would claim the day successful and the skiing very good.
Yesterday, for those of you who have not heard, two of my friends had ski accidents. Rick Hight injured his shoulder in a fall and our good ski buddy Mark Fisher injured his shoulder as well. I have not heard how bad Rick’s injury was, but Mark’s was bad enough to put him on the sidelines for more than a while. All of us hope you feel better soon and recover much quicker than the any doctor suggests. The good news is that I am sure you will be back on the hill before all this snow melts.
A couple of photos taken today are attached.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
