Epic Day on the Hill

Hello Skiers and Boarders,

Tree branches are sagging under the weight of days and days of snow.  Snow banks are as high as tree tops.  More snow fell on the mountain last night and continued all day.  The good news is that winds fell overnight and the newest foot or more of snow that dropped was light and fluffy.  It was deep and there were plenty of skiers and boarders sitting down in it this morning, but those of us who know how to ski powder (there were plenty on the mountain today) collected face shots all morning long.  Snow depth was knee to waist high depending on your height.  In some instances it flew over my head which is as good as it gets.

Just about all the lifts were in operation today which helped spread the crowd over the mountain and kept lift lines down a to minimum.  We started on Roundhouse hitting Fall Line, Yellow, God Knob, and Ladies Slalom.  Summit offered up some great turns from Tower 19.

Scott gave us really deep and good steep in Gentian Gully and Promised Land.

IT WAS AN EPIC DAY

We may see the sun tomorrow which would be great after the days and days of snow we have been receiving.  A little time to dig out will be appreciated.

Attached is a photo of Ann Fisher with me following behind in Alpine Bowl.

Enjoy your day,

Andy
