Another Great Day

Hello Skiers and Boarders,

What a perfect day!  It was cold overnight and lasted most of the day.  The high temperature at the base of Alpine rose to 35 degrees.  This near freezing temperature kept the surface in winter condition.  It was especially true of the north facing slopes and the early morning groomed runs.  Sympathy, Fall Line, Rolls and Knolls, High Yellow, areas around Palisades, Expert Short Cut, Gentian Gully were all in excellent skier packed winter condition.  The overflowing crowds we found at Alpine on Saturday dissipated somewhat today.  Lift lines were all seemed acceptable to me.

Bright sunshine, cool temperatures, and plenty of good snow made for a beautiful day on the mountain.

Depending on who you listen to or whom you believe this coming week is going to bring lots of new snow our area.  Of course the storm is coming up from the south and it is referred to as a coastal storm which means the bulk of the precipitation may end up south of us or along the coast and in the valley.  Hopefully we do not get too much, but we receive plenty to make the powder hounds happy.

We made a quick stop at the Chalet for a cup of water late this morning (a photo is attached) and another at Broccoli Tree (photo attached).

Enjoy your day,

Andy
