A Stellar Day

Hello Skiers and Boarders,

It was a stellar day on the slopes today.  The foot to two feet of snow that was predicted yesterday became 3 to 4 inches by morning.  It was snowing lightly early in the morning, but within an hour the entire sky turned blue.  Bright sunshine filled the slopes that were covered just enough to soften the hard pack surface the existed the past couple of days. We enjoyed boot deep powder for awhile.  Later in the day most runs were skied out leaving a nice soft packed powder surface.

Expert Shortcut with cut up powder covering reasonable size moguls.

Although I did not get to the hill first thing this morning, I had fun making some untracked turns in Scott Meadow, the trees at the top of Sherwood and along the side of Reily’s Run. High Yellow was very nice cut up powder as were most areas of Alpine and Wolverine Bowl.

Even though we did not receive much new snow it was a stellar day.

Enjoy your day,

Andy
