Hello Skiers and Boarders,
This afternoon the sky has clouded over and a gray tint is all I can see looking out my window. However, the sun was out earlier in the day and the snow was excellent. Real squeaky winter snow. Small moguls have formed on many of the main runs, but they are mostly soft. It was cold enough today for the snowmaking crew to keep the guns working on Dance Floor. I took a few runs of Summit in my effort to get into shape. Wolverine was very nice with small bumps in the main areas that are skied. Yellow Trail was the same. Alpine Bowl was groomed which gave me a little bit of smooth trail.
Just in case you have not heard, Squaw and Alpine will have a new shuttle service running within each valley. You can be picked up at your house using an app on your phone. The service will be available in Alpine on weekends and holidays. Click below for more information on obtaining the app. The service is call Mountaineer.
