Clear Sky and Powder Turns

Hello Skiers and Boarders,

It was another wonderful day on the slopes this morning.  Cold overnight temperatures kept the remaining powder snow light and fluffy for the early morning turns.  A clear slate was waiting for us in Sun Bowl, CB’s, and Big Bend.  The turns under a clear sky made us smile.

We had some really nice turns in Sherwood Forest, Scott Meadow, Shuttle Cornice, and Lower Saddle. All the north facing slopes seemed to retain winter conditions during the morning hours.

D7, North Peril, High Yellow, Sherwood Cliffs, and Expert Shortcut were nicely skier packed.

We have heard a lot of nice comments about the new COO taking over Andy Wirth’s job as head of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.  He is an interim executive from Mammoth. We are hoping he brings good vibrations to the community and Alpine Meadows.

A photo taken from the Sherwood Chair of a few nice powder turns is attached.

Enjoy your day,

Andy
