Hello Skiers and Boarders,
The answer to the questions is YES. You should not have been in the office today. Snow was falling at a heavy rate from some time early this morning and continued until about 1 in the afternoon. I was late getting out, but there was enough fresh left for me to get some face shots below Tower 19 and on the far north side of Wolverine Bowl. If it was not a face shot then it certainly hit my chest. The snow was light and about 12 inches deep. You can still feel moguls under foot in many places, and I did hit a few firm spots where the snow had been shaved off, but basically it was soft underfoot. A real storm ski day. The storm has move on and tomorrow is lining up to be a splendid day. More is on the way.
My camera battery died on the hill, so I have attached a photo of the Truckee River with snow on its banks and in the tree branches just to tease you.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
