Who Let the Groomers Out

Hello Skiers and Boarders,

Monday I was not on the hill, but my friends all said the groomed areas were excellent. However the sky was overcast and the light flat. This morning the sun was shining and grooming was visible. It was excellent and much more extensive than it has been all season. Sunspot, D8, and Wolverine were all well groomed. The surface was soft dry winter snow which made edging a delight. I always have fun making long arching turns that take up most of the run. With a very light crowd during the morning hours we were able to enjoy the entire slope and do it at speed.
The air temperature increased as the morning progressed which softened the south facing slopes. My last run was down Ridge Run on Scott. It was just turning to a spring condition from overnight firm. Again, it was well groomed fast and held an edge. Off piste I found some good moguls that were chalky on the north facing slopes and other that I thought were just as good on some of the south facing slopes.

A good day on the hill.

Enjoy your day,

Andy
