A Welcome Powder Day

Hello Skiers and Boarders,

Nice cold temperatures this morning on the mountain. The air was in the teens and a foot of new snow covered the ground.  Light snow flurries have continued much of the day, but they are not adding up to a measurable amount.  A good crowd of thirsty powder hounds showed up to take advantage of fresh snow that fell last night.  The upper mountain was in a cloud all morning which did make for a flat light condition.  We hugged the trees whenever possible.  Fewer rocks were exposed this morning which was a blessing.  A soft surface underfoot was also a blessing.

We found some untracked snow off Scott Chair and through Yellow Trail first thing this morning.  It turned to skier cut winter snow in D7, D8, North Peril, Sunspot, Terry’s Return and Lower High Yellow Face pretty quickly.

The snow was a little wind packed and a little more dense than the snow we had last Friday, but it was definitely fun.

Enjoy your day,

Andy
