Today the powder was… POWDER. The kind that’s not heavy from a warm storm, but still just enough that it didn’t blow away, so overall conditions were excellent, at least considering what (didn’t) fell in December. Some of the most commonly skied lines did get scraped off to ice, but it was easy enough to find really soft lines. In fact, SOFT would be my word of choice for today. Word from mountain ops that I spoke with was that we still need more snow before more terrain can open, which means this weekend’s lines will probably be pretty long.
