Hello Skiers and Boarders,
Sunny days with temperatures in the 40’s continue in Tahoe. We have been experiencing an inversion which means the temperatures on top of the mountain have been too warm for snow making, but the lower one travels the lower the temperatures. However, the surface conditions have remain just about the same on the mountain. Early morning groomed runs are wonderful and fast. Sunspot softened just a bit at 11 offering up some nice turning conditions. It is a little firm, chalky and rough, on the east facing slopes of Wolverine (under Idiots Delight). North Peril and D8 remain in the shade most of the day which saves the winter snow, but there are some slick spots that have been shaved down to the previous firm layer. Werner’s Schuss is filled with medium size moguls with slick spots, but basically still in decent condition. Small crowds make for good midweek skiing at Alpine Meadows. A couple of photos are attached.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
