Hello Skiers and Riders,
Most lifts started the day on wind hold. Winds were strong over the ridges. A foot of new snow fell between yesterday and this morning. It continued falling during much of the day.
Temperatures were just below freezing. The snow was just heavy enough to create a nice soft layer over much of the mountain. I headed out in the early afternoon once all lifts were spinning. Winds died down during the day allowing chairs on wind hold to open. There was still some untracked snow for me to mark up. It was delightful. Lighting was flat over much of the mountain so I tried to stay close to trees. My route today included a couple of runs on Scott Chair and a couple on Lakeview. I found most slopes covered with good winter snow. It was not soft spring snow. It was an excellent winter day during for the first week of April.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
