Colder and Firmer

The temperature overnight and this morning was definitely colder than yesterday. Off-piste runs stayed pretty firm almost all day, with the exception of some south- and east-facing slopes, making groomers pretty much the only option for the morning.

After one firm run on Sunspot at 10, we headed straight for High-T. The run down to Sherwood was very firm at the top, but got a little bit softer as we got closer to Sherwood. We took many runs on Sherwood Face and the main Sherwood run, where the snow was already softening.

We then headed back to the front side for some runs on Sunspot, Wolverine Bowl, D-8, Alpine Bowl, and more. Sunspot was one of the best runs off of Summit today. Further down the mountain, we opted for Werner’s, Charity, Dancefloor, Yellow, and Weasel. Yellow was super fun, corny, and just fast enough. Weasel was also super fun.

Lines were non-existent today, and the parking lot was pretty empty when we first arrived. The Chalet was closed today, however the Ice Bar was open.

Back on skis after a Bay Area rally… good times. #ilovespringskiing
