Groomed By Nature!

Today was one of those mornings where mother nature took over the upper mountain and groomed it impeccably. Headwall chair opened promptly at 9 am and those who were there first thing were treated with some perfect wind packed powder. The Face, Slot, Light Towers and Hogsback skied extremely well. Then the show moved over to the Palisades with a lineup at the top of the Chimney. After shopping around for awhile, one by one, skiers braved the huge cornice and dropped in. Most had success and there was one notable fall.

Later in in the morning the snow transitioned to wetter and more sticky snow. My legs were talking to me and it was time to go by noon. No crowds or lines to speak of, but the parking lot was almost full at 12:30 pm.
