Hello Skiers and Riders,
It has been a real spring day in Tahoe. Temperatures on the ridge remained in the mid thirties, but they reached 47 degrees at the base of Alpine. North facing slopes remain chalky and delightful. South facing slopes softened as the day progressed. The view of Tahoe from Lakeview was stunning. Not a ripple could be seen from many vantage points on the mountain. Of course there was little if any wind this morning. Groomed runs were a little more firm than yesterday, but still smooth and fast. Palisades and the areas around it were excellent. North Peril remains soft with small moguls. D7 is in good condition. Waterfall was just fun. Expert Shortcut remains in excellent winter condition as does Our Father and High Yellow. Under the Sherwood Chair was turning to soft spring snow around 10:30. My partner on the hill felt it got better as the sun warmed the surface about an hour after we began sliding down the hill.
Attached are a couple of photos taken on this beautiful day.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
