Hello Skiers and Riders,
Alpine Meadows was back in business this morning after the forced shut down yesterday do to a power failure that occurred Sunday afternoon. Today felt like spring. A cool morning with a gentle breeze at the top of Summit Chair followed by a warm afternoon. No clouds in the sky today. There was plenty of groomed area first thing this morning that made for some fun and fast runs. This included The Face that had not been groomed in while and Standard off Scott Chair. I cruised around the mountain for a couple hours hitting many groomed runs as well as D7, Palisades, and Expert Shortcut. Off piste was made up of cut up wind packed snow that took concentration to maneuver through, but it was mostly very skiable. The consistency on north facing slopes remained cold winter snow while south facing slopes were turning soft in the sun.
It looks like we have at least one more beautiful sunny day remaining this week before clouds cover our sky again. It was a pleasure to have all lifts in operation today. A couple of photos of the corduroy before it disappeared are attached.
Enjoy your day,
Andy

Even some pockets of powder off the High-T that afternoon. Very scenic!
